An ancient Nordic entity chooses a corrupted priest to secure the coveted soul of a woman, and deliver her as a gift to The Old One – thereby securing its redemption.

The woman, caught between her Pagan Asatru upbringing and The Church, must find a way to resist the darkness
of those she once trusted, as the Vord struggles to guide them toward redemption.

But even the spirit guardian may taste the sour of regret where the simple act of forgiveness could otherwise have been so sweet.

Maureen Maliha, Director – The Vord

It was an honor and a privilege to work on (and star in) this amazing little film made of terror and suspense. We hid out in the woods for a few weeks and I got to see some truly magic things happen. Man I can’t wait to tell you about it.

A film I’m currently 1st Camera on is starting to get a lot of attention and I’m here for it.

So that everyone knows Shelley Duvall is in good spirits and happy to be with us!

Thank you to the Writer & Director Scott Goldberg and Producer Elliott Dreznick for having us. It’s also a pleasure working with Scott Hansen of Digital Thunderdome Studio, who’s done no small part of making this film look so insane.

Speaking of filmmakers doing odd things while trapped in the house, Taylor Morden, director of the documentary film “The Last Blockbuster” sent out a call for fans around the world to get together and recreate, scene for scene, the entirety of Back To The Future 2 using whatever they had around the house within a week. We got in on it, and we happen to have a small dog and a bunch of socks with googly eyes.

The film drops at 5 pm PST tonight. You can follow Project 88 on Facebook, and watch it here if you’re reading this after the release. We had a blast doing it, and I guess technically it’s the first released project from Bad Seed FX and Alcovy Films, so that’s cute.

Anyways, it’s gonna be out soon, and I got a pizza hydrating in the oven, so I gotta get movin’. Enjoy the show!

“Be A Hero” by Vanessa Ionta Wright

Two years ago last weekend I was gifted with the chance to work with  Vanessa Ionta Wright on the set of her PSA “Be A Hero,” which I talked about previously on my blog here. Did you get a chance to see the finished product? It’s still online and available! Check it out after the cut.

Experimenting with Horror

My latest short film is an experiment in two ways. The first, it’s a “resource driven” project where I wrote a script utilizing only what I had available, limiting myself to expecting to have no budget or access to new props or locations. The second part of the experiment is inviting filmmakers to take the script and allowing them to shoot their own version of it.

We’re currently in post-production and will have this out soon. Until then, if you would like to be part of the experiment, please visit the page on my FX site, read up on what I’m doing, and then download the script.

Good luck everyone, you’re gonna need it.

Today is the two year anniversary of my work with the short comedy series “How to Get a Life” filmed down here in Atlanta. It was a quick weekend of comedy, and I had a blast.
