Keeping Busy.

project: starchild

For the past few months I’ve been keeping busy as the art director for a new game development team called “Mjolnir Software”. I can’t really show you too much about it, but I can at least use it as an excuse as to why I haven’t been posting in my blog more.

Catch-22 I guess. When I have enough content to post and talk about, I’m too busy to actually post and talk about it. I’m okay with this, because I’ve always felt that quality was better than quantity. I wish more blogs felt the same way. /sadface

Anyways, watch this space for more info about Project: Star Child in the next few weeks.

Also, I’ll be posting links to a website I just finished up for a client, and I’m currently working on an album cover. More on that when they let me.

There goes November…

…and here comes December. We watch as NaNoWrimo comes to a close (and sadly, I did not do as well as I hoped, but I also had some legitimate concerns that got in my way), and we look forward to what’s next.

Before anything though, I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who donated to the charity I was writing for. Every little bit helps, and I’m sure people will give even more next time around. So if you chipped in, high five. You did good. Everyone else, I’ll see you next year, right?

Don’t think the charity is over yet, it’s still on. And I’m going to keep it going until they shut me down. So if you’re still kicking yourself for not helping, don’t fret. It’s still going on.

Now let’s talk about what’s next…

So About This Blog…

I keep meaning to update this blog with something new and interesting, but honestly I haven’t found the time. The only reason I’m posting something now, is because I’m waiting for something to render in the background.

I’ve become a victim of the economy, but I’m certainly not spending my time in my boxers playing video games, no matter how hard I feel I’ve earned that right. Instead of gone into “freelance mode”. What does this mean? It means I’m actually spending more time out of my week working than I did when I had a full-time job. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I try to play video games, but after about an hour I find my head drifting off and rummaging through my inbox. Which is funny, because it’s supposed to be the other way around right?

Hello World…

So, after a few minutes of struggling, I created a blog on my own domain. Then I did something very unclever. I attempted to import and sort entries and comments from over 10 years of other blogs. Normally wouldn’t've been that big of a deal, but out of the six plus megs of data, thousands of entries, and a few dozen thousands of comments connected to said entries, 95% of them were labeled as “private” or “restricted” or “locked”.
